Description

A parish, partly in the hundred of WHERWELL, but chiefly in the hundred of ANDOVER, Andover division of the county of SOUTHAMPTON, 2ľ miles (S.W. by W.) from Andover, containing, with the tything of Little-Ann which is in the hundred of Andover, 526 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Winchester, rated in the king's books at £42. 17. 6. T. Wall, Esq. was patron in 1774. The church is dedicated to St. Mary. Here is a small endowed school.
