Description

A parish, partly in the hundred of WHERWELL, but chiefly in the hundred of ANDOVER, Andover division of the county of SOUTHAMPTON, 2¼ miles (S.W. by W.) from Andover, containing, with the tything of Little-Ann which is in the hundred of Andover, 526 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Winchester, rated in the king's books at £42. 17. 6. T. Wall, Esq. was patron in 1774. The church is dedicated to St. Mary. Here is a small endowed school.
